Sad news of the passing of Tony Wilson. Made a massive contribution to music and club culture in the UK.

RIP
Great quotes from Phil Saxe.
"Part of me, part of Manchester, part of modern British music has died tonight.
"Tony was a genius, basically.
"He was a visionary in that he helped bands, who otherwise wouldn't have made it, who were a bit out of the ordinary.
"He helped them realise their dreams and through that probably realised himself to be Mr Manchester".

RIP indeed, I'm gutted. I have many friends who know and work with him so its real sad this weekend.
I don't think we'll see another like him in this day and age in the 'industry'. Shame.

I got to hear about this last night, sad day, but he gave us some fantastic music, and I for one loved the Happy Mondays.
Some how I think he would want a party to remember him.
RIP mate

Very sad news. Years ago when I was a humble student Tony was kind enough to take the time to help with my dissertation.
A great guy that will be sadly missed.
