Hi. I am heading to Europe and taking me macbook pro. I have a converter for 220v outlets, but is there anything else I need to avoid frying my laptop?

Apple Care???

no. the poweradapter will sniff the voltage auto. just plug it in- no need for a capacitor..

Thanks Madirish! Good to go.
I fried my electric razor once because I didn't see I needed to flip a switch on the razor as well.

i hear you orkman. but you are safe with all Apple products on this one; they all are ready for this by default.

what madirish said.. and i can confirm as i'm using a UK iMac in NA and did teh research. you'll just need an adapter to fit the different sockets.
most high-end electronics these days are built to auto-adapt to power suppy.
