I have a Macbook Pro hooked up to a 23" Apple monitor. I have it all set up so that the 23" is my main screen and the MBP screen is my dump/palette screen.
The problem I have is that the mouse won't jump from screen to screen, it only moves within the confines of the 23" screen.
Anyone know a solution to this problem?

Ahh yes, restart... the cure to all that ails the Mac.
Thanks!

you can go under your sys. pref and go to monitors..u can hit refresh and it'll recognize it again

OK, restart didn't work. I've gone under SysPrefs and did the recognize thing which worked in getting the two screens up.
Still can't move my mouse between both screens though.
What am I missing here?

did you try moving it up and down?

is your computer turned on?
my interview for a job at the genius bar didn't go too well.
hmmm... is there anything that is on your computers screen? i'm assuming you have the doc at the bottom of the cinema. i no longer am working on the setup like yours but look into some kind of a setting that allows you to go to both screens. not a mirrored desktop and not the setting you might have where the 23 is the only working screen, and the setting assumes you're going to be closing your mbp so you can't get to that monitor.
i forget what all this is called. extended desktop maybe?

make sure you try all directions, the arrangement of the screens may be different than their physical arrangement.

Got it!
Had to switch the arrangement.
Thanks.

eb6 has a good point.
if your mbp is on the right side of your cinema drag it's icon in the monitor setting to the right side of the cinema display on the setting screen.
