overall i like it, I really like the new panel layouts, and how those work.

Yay. Not like you really have a choice. I shelled the 1,800 for the Prem Suite. I love it, I really like how you can still edit the original source files with the original program. Cross application files work super. DW is a pain, they place some automated javascript, which I have had no time to mess with. Overall, pretty solid upgrades and performance for us new gen mac users.

Whats it like on a Macbook Pro with the 4gb ram on the go?

Better than CS2, imo.
- CyBrain0
Yeah, you really don't have the option of staying on CS2 for your career

absolutely worth it.
i have cs3 at home and there are so many additions that make it so great.
i'm using cs2 at this freelance gig and it really is making me appreciate cs3 so much more.
it's worth it.

import .psd and .ai files into flash
export cue points in after effects to .flv
import and maneuver 3d objects in photoshop
copy paste from ae to premiere
copy paste from illi to flash
smart objects in photoshop so that each effect is now like a layer style and can be changed(so it's non-destructuve)
awesome awesome.
i owned CS2 and upgraded to production premium for $1200. totally worth it.
also comes with adobe ultra which is a standalone keying program. haven't used it but looks promising.

definite yay, especially if you're on an intel mac. the new after effects is so fast, photoshop too. illy just works. i've yet to have anything crash and it's been about 3 weeks of heavy use.
- CyBrain0
That sums it up nicely Jared. Where are you these days?
- tkmeister0
definitely yay.
stable, faster. i've only got 2gb ram on my mbp but it's totally fine.
