I'm asking what your book looks like, through random sentences.

I never had an actual "book," it was just my website.

I know the routine. I'm building mine by hand, binding it myself..potentially.
Works good, but the individual pages are a lil boring right now.
- dirtydesign0
Oh..my website will be up soon too.

i'm not a print designer, but surely worrying about what your portfolio case looks like is like dressing up you web portfolio in needless flash? if you have nice work, does it really matter? honest question, i'm not ripping the pish for once...

mine is 14" x 10". i had a buddy at kinkos print it on card stock and shear it. i had brushed aluminum cut by a sign company and bought some aluminum tape and binders glue from art mart. i clamped it all together and used a shit load of binders glue and then used the metal tape to cover it up. it's 36 pages and looks great.
*however i would not reccomend using the aluminum tape. it's a bitch. use vinyl instead.

I'm not trying to polish a turd. Just seeing what other people are doing. Specs, paper stock, handmade, etc.

I don't know if I would go through the pain of making a nice book just to give away to assholes. I would do a website and 3-5 leave behind sheets that are really nice.

11 X 14 seems like the standard size.
I'm trying to make something that I could easily duplicate and mail out. I think my book could use some nice paper stock.

i have a typical carrying case with boards and handhelds though i do want to build a case to preserve the craft a bit better. my teacher had his in a opaque white plastic case with foam inside and he cut holding places in the foam for his boards and handhelds and gave enough room to add more over the years. i believe he also had his logo transfered onto the case. don't believe it took much time, effort or money and it looks really professional and clean.
