I have an external firewire hard drive that i very rarely take away with me.
Is it possible to take the hard drive out of the shell and install it into my G5 Mac?

only if your pc runs hot

why would you do that when you can just buy a cheaper HD for internal use
save that one for back up

it will only go into your G% if it a an SATA drive... not many externals are.

how can I tell if its a SATA Drive?
Its a 250GB Lacie designed by Porsche design.
Is it possible to take it out of its enclosure and install it into my G5?

mirrorball
yes you can take that out
but it would be just another western digital / seagate drive so why not spend 50-100 bucks on an internal drive from them?
and install it internally?

also, are you thinking about installing that drive via firewire?
i mean if you need internalize it, it wont be firewire
make sure your computer extra HD power cable and connector
