Illutrator menus scrambled 33 Responses

  I have Illustrator installed on a macbook pro. The menus appear scrambled, e.g. $$$/_MBAR/Mnu/Vi... instead of "view".

  I searched for a fix on their support index and on the web to no avail.

  anyone know how to solve it?

  Hmmm, it's either something Very Wrong or ..maybe.. you've been dicking around with your fonts? You haven;t uninstalled the Adobe fonts. have you?

  (I don't think so, because I did once and it resulted in garbled gibberish with symbols - not, what in your case, looks like faulty objects references.)

  Nairn's suggestion is a good one about the fonts.

  If that doesn't work, I'd uninstall and do it all over again.

  I've tried it. also deleted prefs and re-installed to no avail.
