apply for a job with a big agency and they'll sort it out if they like you enough.
if you've got money, you could look into a skilled migrant thingmie, and then set yourself up as a freelancer.

There's load of work in London.
We have a guy here from the states and he's on a HSMP visa.

I'm saving up to move to the U.S later on. I would defently swap with you if your company pay for my visa :) And like some already said here, there's plenty of work here in London but be sure to have some cash when you get over. First months is hard economically.
