Anybody have some good advice on where to purchase a relatively small green screen setup?
I've checked ebay and not finding anything great. I was hoping one of you might have some actual experience buying one of these things...
Thanks in advance!

Small, lightweight, comes with a stand, and is collapsible. For $250 its a pretty good setup.

Unfortunately I'm in the middle of absolutely nowhere so I probably won't be able to find a production company.
Its for our new office here... we want a permanent / semi cheap solution. Thanks for all the advice so far.

you'd be surprised how well something from your local fabric store will work....
Look for the good ol' green hue, I went down to the fashioon district in l.a. and found an awesome roll that has worked wonders under 100 bucks!
Concentrate on your lighting to separate your subjects from the background. theres several good articles floating around on the web on that.

I was looking at these two products from a company called ImageWest

But the whole company / website seems a little sketchy and i'm hesitant. Anybody have any experience dealing with them? I've called but I got an answering service that said they would get somebody to call me back.. which seemed weird.

I have done the grimiest of greenscreens. Just make sure to not leave any cracks or openings and watch out for the feedback from the screen. Dont put the actor too close to the screen. Its a snap, really.

paper works great in a pinch.

as mentioned, even lighting is essential. It helps to use video vs. digital if you can.

We bought a foam screen here:

works great. The most important thing with green screen is lighting. Light the screen evenly, and use equal light on the subject and screen.
I would also look into purchasing DV MATTE PRO for After Effects. It rocks my world.
