If you get all your work done and are just as respectable at home, then you could stay there. If you want more focus, then try out the cubicle thing.
The formal dressing thing is one of the reasons why I'd rather work from home, but I have no problems with going to the office and interacting with people, then staying home the next day and getting work done.
