West London BABY! Git yor ass down to Westbourne Grove where it's hot! Gastropubs galore, the odd celebrity, plenty of beautiful people! Don't be fooled by the East end! West side!!!!!

Shoreditch and the east rule. Check out the Bricklane market and the Spitafields market (near Liverpool Street Station) on Sunday. Supercool.
There's a nice market for food stuff in london bridge on saturday, Borough Market, but you probably won't be here for the food, eh?
Nice bars also in camden (try bar Gansa, near the tube station - they serve lovely sangria and great tapas and the waitresses are BEAUTIFULL). Notting Hill and portobello have some nice places too, but a bit posh, you know? STAY AWAY FROM THE WEST END!!

Well we're going over in a group myself and my gf are staying near Covennt Garden, but that was just for handiness sake.
Gonna be over for the RCA show on Saturday week cos a friend of mine is graduating so no doubt there'll be stuff going on but just in case we need to amuse ourselves thought it'd be good to see wheres good to go!
Ta for the suggestions, keep em coming!

The flower market on Columbia Road (round the corner of Shoreditch) on a Sunday and Broadway Market (next to London Fields) on a Saturday are lovely as well.
If you're staying in C. garden and want to avoid going to the touristy bars Freud is a tres nice cocktail cellar bar on where Neill Street meets Shaftesbury Avenue.

Pop to Social http://www.thesocial.com/ on Little Portland St - I quite like the vibe in there. Then get a 55 bus from oxford street to Hoxton / Shoreditch which is almost always fairly bustling.
The Damien Hirst exhibition is on at the whitecube gallery in Hoxton Sq - it's a good busy square to sit about with tinnies in the sun - even if you have to put up with saturday afternoon streakers!

it's all still there. i live next door. you have to go on a sunday, though, otherwise the market traders aren't there.
on any other day, yeah, it'll be only the restaurants and the permanent shops open.

BUMP.
London QBNers, will be there in about 2.5 weeks for a couple of days and wanted to check in and see if you guys have any recommendations?
Good places to eat? Places to visit (even the touristy ones - first time going), design/art musts?
I am going for work so aside from the touristy/obvious, can you also suggest shopping/retail, sneakers, etc. (need these for work)?
Thanks!
