whatev... we know your true colors run red and white, hold the blue...
madirish
(May 31 07, 12:04)I'm interested in trying out the blue...
but I'll always..
okay,
this metaphor seems too lame to continue.
anyway, you've actually been to Canada a few times, so that's cool :)

wow, some of you are a bit too f*cking jaded. there's some beautiful work in there.
Geith
(May 31 07, 12:03)You're right. I think people were just noting that it would be more interesting to see other ones from around the world, although that survey could take all day.

He designed the Chicago Spire too.

i have seen many of those places in person. i've also seen many fantastic buildings in person around the world.
they also omitted some really nice buildings from those list which i just can't believe.

No Case Study houses at all?
.. did give the nod to Fallingwater tho.. my absolute fav in the states...
- tkmeister0
they put so many buildings by richard meier but didn't list salk institute by louis kahn. i'd put that as #1.
no richard neutra, or tadao ando's fort worth... i can list so many beautiful buildings worth mentioning.

now, that's a spot on critique. right! where the f*ck is neutra? and good god, salk institute is sheer genius.
was arcosanti in there? though it's a pile, the concept is intriguing.
- nicnichols0
Ya.. Neutra would have got my top nod! How can you create a best-of list without Case Study houses??

The Stahl House, by Pierre Koenig, is Case Study No. 22
Where's Schindler? Too many Phillip Johnson pieces. I love a lot Meier's work, but far too many represented.

Love the work from these two.

Where's the Experience Museum?
And how can you really rate places you haven't seen in person? Architecture can't be judged from a tiny photo.
FL Wright...wow. His work moves me most.
I would also include the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Lovely

where the hell is the seagram building, while we're at it?!

i sort of like the rather avant-garde'ish brand new theatre in the Dutch city of Lelystad

lest we forget..
the ever impressive Dutch Institute for Sound and Vision

I went to the Canadian War Museum again last night and immediately thought of this survey. It would definitely have been included if this survey expanded to include Canada:
