R.I.T. (Research Innovation Team) is an internal research and prototyping team at AOL and we are currently looking for a Senior Flash Developer. This is a unique opportunity to work with a small tight creative team that develops prototypes and creates conceptual blueprints for cutting-edge, online experiences that inspire the organization to innovate upon all aspects of the service. This role is for a seasoned designers, with a strong personal vision for how design and technology can be mobilized to create usable, extensible, accessible and gratifying user experiences.
Ideal candidates should have 3 of demonstrable experience and a passion for creating interactive experiences with an emphasis on applying innovative technical solutions to complex design. Must be proficient in all front-end and Flash application development best practices such as code naming conventions, code commenting, object-oriented design and development, and TDD.
Must be a good communicator, able to collaborate while stepping up to assume responsibility as needed, and able to balance clean code with short deadlines. Pluses for the position include: QuickTime and Windows Media scripting and streaming; and server-side scripting (including PHP, XML, XSLT, Java, and Ruby).
You need to have killer skills and be able to chop code out like Bruce Lee!
