I have a text box, and want the user to be able to type anything in. After they hit on enter their keyboard, i'd like it to launch a new page in a new browser. Please advise. Thanks

Only difference is instead of having a button, they just need to hit the "Enter" key on their keyboard. Thanks.

You'll have to add a key event listener.
Here are some good examples:

will this work for flash 5?
- material-10
so like click in FF and it launches safari, or netscape

flash 5 needs a clipEvent
stick this in a MC on the stage
onClipEvent(enterFrame)
if(Key.isDown(Key.ENTER))getURL...

It works when I use a url, but when I use a clickTAg, my click tag checker says the clicktag doesn't work. Any ideas anyone?

bah, that clickTAG thing sucks. This is for a banner right?
make sure clickTAG is proper case, and not in quotes (as it's a variable)
so getURL(clickTAG, "_blank")
also be sure to publish to flash 6 or below.
