BBC journalist loses the plot interviewing looney scientologists.

what's not seen on camera during this is that Tom Cruise has his finger up the reporter's arse and Beck is playing a banjo

I read a bit about this yesterday. I definitely want to watch this documentary tonight:
--------------------------------
PanoramaMonday 14 May
8:30pm - 9:00pm
BBC1
Scientology and MeJohn Sweeney investigates the Church of Scientology, endorsed by some major Hollywood celebrities, but which continues to face the criticism that it is less of a religion and more of a cult. Some former members claim the Church uses a mind control technique to put opponents at a psychological disadvantage. During the course of his investigation, Sweeney is shouted at, spied on, visited in his hotel at midnight and chased around the streets of LA by strangers in hire cars.
--------------------------------Since I work right across the road from the 'church of scientology' on tottenham court road, I find them quite amusing but also a bit sinister. The fact they recruit by telling people they have issues – preying on the easily influenced. Obviously they have a right to exist but I don't think any 'religion' that has a trademarked name, or has to charge ever increasing fees for membership can be a proper religion, that and the fact it was founded by a science fiction writer.
Still to me it's all a joke. If they ever ask me if I want a free stress test, I always just reply "no thanks I've already attained operating thetan 7' and the look of shock on their face is enough to know they won't bother me again.

Proof in the pudding that scientology drives people to batshit craziness
And a lot of fun to watch

scientology is considered a criminal organization in germany (or at least was, dunno if still is) and france was considering banning it since it's considered a dangerous sect

where's oprah when you need her?
- -sputnik-0
she's with satan having their weekly status meeting

Did anyone watch this last night?
It was pretty funny. Every time they tried to conduct an interview the scientology press guy popped up (the bbc team had been followed wherever they went) and tried to interrupt the interview.
If you wanted to look normal as an organisation then answering some simple questions would be the way to go, not stalking a journalist and threatening him, then pulling all the interviews that you'd set up. What a crazy bunch of people. A very bad excercise in PR for the scientologists, now they look much more culty than if they'd just acted normally.
you can watch it on the BBC website:

That tommy is a head case. And as for Scientology, yeah it is a bloody cult. It is a shame the interviewer lost the plot, as I think that is what Scientology and Tommy wanted.
If you ask me, it is more like a Media religion then anything els, with all the famous actors involved..
