Nothing says 'the fight against aids' like an on stage kiss-rape.

I was just discussing this with someone.
I'm not saying India is right here, but Gere has been to the country and many others many times before, and therefore you would think that he would about India's culture and customs.
PDA are usually taboo there.

accurate. think about big hollywood balls swinging round to her thinking he can do behaviour like that shows not very much respect. the contract to him in movies are like so-oo many naked scenes in the contract and he can not see the line over art and living. he is reduced to a symbol of only his cock and becuase he is richard gere. he can take all women without charity even! so sad. :(

"Gupta earlier viewed television footage of the event, which he called "highly sexually erotic," saying the pair violated India's strict public obscenity laws."
He then went back to his home, watched it 27 more times, let out an ugly grunt and fell asleep.
- Jaline0
yeah, highly erotic for him and the political party involved with exploiting this situation to get more votes.

She wouldn't kiss tricks either.

how obscene!!!!

- Jaline0

he will blend it with the inmates in no time... remeber what a good actr he is... if i were him i would start working on my indian accent
- acescence0
did you actually watch it? it was a bit more than a kiss on the cheek. i would have been offended had he done it in this country. she was obviously not into it, and he didn't stop.

Some observations:
a) Isn't India the culture that came up with the Kama Sutra?
b) A Richard Gere kiss, grab and go ain't going to arouse ANYONE, at least not since sometime circa 1992. So that tells me the judge is a homo.
b) I would really like Gere to do some time in an Indian prison for this blatant violation of India's cultural sensibilities. But there needs to be a gerbil involved to finally put the rumors to the test.

what?
i watched. I watched it a week ago when it was news.
You'd be offfended by that? you frickin kidding me???
The guy was at an aids rally. His entire "speech" the entire platform of the aids awareness movement in hindustan is confronting the countries sexual mores.
He was shouting "SEX!" "CONDOMS!" at the top of his lungs to confront the countries taboos.
The country has the biggest AIDS problem in the entire world and has still trouble talking about "Sex" and completely denies the existence of homosexuality.
Time to shake things up. Sexual revolucion!!

Indians are weird with the sex stuff...I had a friend from the one of those nordic countries and his last name is like "Eckland" or something like that. I was relating this story to another friend and his wife who are from India..I say "Eckland" and the husband starts cracking up..and I'm like "what?"..and he says "That sounds dirty in hindi, that's all.." And I'm like what does it mean? And he's like "I can;t tell you because my wife is here, we can't let the women know what that means." And she's like this totally American born Indian and she starts hitting him saying "What!! What does it mean!!" And he refused to tell her. He wouldn't even tell me later..but he kept chuckling all night..
Makes me want to run into an Indian restuarant and yell "Eckland!!"
