Is it just me or is everyone obsessed with getting comments now? On their blog, on Flickr, or whatever community site they happen to be posting on.
Maybe it's just my wife, I don't know.

No really, I am being serious. My wife seems obsessed with receiving comments on her blog. She acts like its Christmas when someone says something nice and gets all despondent about her web presence when she doesn't get any comments for several posts. Same with her Flickr.
Me, I'm not really fussed. But I wonder if other people get the same way.

i think it's a natural reaction....especially when its so relatively new...its like posting a letter back in the day, you'd look forward to the reply coming in the mail within a few weeks..now it can be in a matter of moments...
and on sites like facebook etc, where a lot of the comments will be from folks you haven't spoken to in years, i guess there is a certain eagerness to hear what they've been up to...that, and folks just like attention :)

i know what you're trying to do. you're trying to catch me in your little trap. for the last damn time it was not me that left those comments about your wife.
- nicnichols0
Whats her blog? We can leave her tons of comments if you like..

I would be lying if I said whenever I logged into MySpace I do not hope for comments or messages, haha.
Comments more so.
I want people to know that people know me, no matter how damaging to my character their comment may be.
- harlequino0
I don't really get it either. Mainly the MySpace thing. I have no interest.

"I love your cross stitching"
"What beautiful fabric. Where did you get it?"
etc etc
- flavorful0
I made fun of everyone who used it (MySpace), and then years later ... most of my friends moved away from Pittsburgh.
- grunttt0
"I love your cross stitching"

DOH! I just admitted guilt!

(Apr 25 07, 10:47)i think that probably has that "dirty little secret" kind of appeal.
