True story.
Raindog jnr (3 years old) has recently started nursery. If I get home on time to see him before he goes to bed I always ask him if he's made any new friends. So far so normal. One of his recent new friends is called Henry. So today I asked who he played with. Raindog jnr answered, "I did play with Henry."
But after a brief pause he added quite seriously, "and Henry did change his head." And then he went on playing with his toys.
Now, I don't know about you but I had to think about this for a while. And to try and work it out, I had to think on his level. So after mulling it over for a few seconds I asked jnr if he meant had Henry had a haircut. He replied, "yes."
Mystery solved. At least it was until he added, " and he did change his mouth."
That really flummoxed me.
Fortunately my wife has since explained it to me. Put simply there are two Henrys. So Raindog jnr thinks that it's one boy with interchangeable heads. To him it's the most obvious explanation.
Kids. How do their minds work. And why doesn't mine work like that anymore.
Anyway, just thought I would lighten the mood for a change. It's been a bit doom, gloom, this person hates this person, and whoops I've slagged of my potential employer round here lately.

That is awesome. Sad but true, I still think in such manner.

I think like that as well sometimes....but maybe it's because I'm surrounded by younger people...

It's great thinking like that, but careful what you say sometimes. It can keep you out of the "big" meetings at work.

"So uh...what do you all think about that 'head' guy. Down by invoicing. He's weird."

So today, Jnr said he made two new friends. So I asked him what their names were.
He said, "Devon and Morgan".
Then he thought about it for a bit and added, "And they are the same." Then he went back to playing with his cars leaving me quietly contemplating this statement.
I just asked my wife and she said, "Devon and Morgan? They're twins."
