OK here is my damn issue. I want to make some posters tgat I will eventually sell, 5 to be exact. Very large, around 26x38. The desgin is simple, two colors, very graphic.
I've been calling around for quotes and silkscreening is obviously a lot more money than a high quality digital print.
So here is my question, is silkscreening worth the extra money? The digital printer assured me that the quality of the print is extremely high, they do posted for NY TIMES and other large businesses.

you mean screenprinting?

Well, I dig the feel of a screenprinted image, but to each his own I guess. Where will these posters be displayed? The screenprinted posters MAY be more durable than the digital print, depending on what paper is used and so on.

silk screen = screen print = serigraphy

bonseff is not in business. But happy to teach a muh fugga to fish.
If it isnt worth the hassle to take screen printing on, you should go digital. But if you do screen print, you should run off like 30, not only five. It's easy peasy once you are set up

I think he means 5 different posters, What is being printed on them?

No I meant 5 copies of one design. The design is very simple and graphic with some text. Im really not interested in getting any kind of texture on the poster, I just want it to feel like a normal poster.

go digital then.
