Yeah i just read them both.
I wasn't very disturbed, to be honest. Nor were they that violent. Just sorta...bad writing.

well, the whole ass-raping aspects that appear over and over seem to be a little weird for a college lit class.

Not really, mate. I've been in some classes where we discuss Marqui de Sade, Lydia Lunch, all kinds of shit wayyyy weirder than this. There are some attempts at almost Beckett-like absurdity here, but it's nothing remarkable.

Charlie Manson, btw, is an eerily good songwriter.

that was simply a horrible piece of writing.

i was gonna say matty... i went to a silly art/tech school... and I still was asked to read stuff w/'ass raping' qualities to it (meaning... 'rough stuff' in writing...)...
... i dunno... i just think the kid realized what a shitty writer he was and decided the only way he was going to make his mark was to... well.. you know.

i just read the McBeef one... again, horrible writing, horrible story. one fucked up guy - the plays were not what i would call disturbing other than the fact that someone would actually turn in a paper like that.
- mattyd040
hahaha, thats what i was referring to grunttt.

Although I have to admit. "Richard McBeef" ain't a half bad name.
I would cast William H Macy in the part.

... while they're there and playing the slots... they bitch about their teach mr. brownstone and say horrid shit about him...
...then they win money... but brownstone is there to turn them in and say they took his winning ticket from the slot...
... 'the end'...
... pretty lame actually.
not really 'weird'... just a dumb story.
