Does anyone one know the rules on charging PST in Ontario?
I have heard a mix from different people.
Or if anyone knows a good account in the Toronto area.
This would be on design projects for print and web

Hey,
Not sure if this what you're looking for but PST gets charged whenever you hand over a physical item.
ie. - a printed brochure or stationery packagenot digital work like a website unless you hand over a backup CD or other physical media.
If you design a brochure etc and put printing on a seperate invoice then you only charge PST on the printing invoice.
This is what was explained to me by the PST person I talked to but I have also heard conflicting stories.

Thats what i was told too but wasnt sure if it was right.
At work my boss just got audited for PST so it had me a little worried for my freelance stuff

Glad it helped. If you get audited get all your money into an offshore account quick and move to Mexico.
