- i never read a single Vertigo ever, nor have i ever held an issue in my hands..e-pill
- Really? Wow. Fables is probabl my favorite comics, well that and The Goon. (not Vertigo).discoduro
- Any reason why? Just curious.discoduro
- when verticgo came out it was dc's way of taking the readers of valiant and dark horse..e-pill
- they just didnt have that one thing that the other books had.. was not well written..e-pill
- which i hear they have done very well, it was grabing the reader.. the characters..e-pill
- they never grabbed at me like lets say Aliens vs Predator has.. or Rai or Shadowman..e-pill
- now all those titles each were very well written and the art was amaazing...e-pill
- DC Vertigo enters the fold to try to grab those readers since marvel was mostly cannon..e-pill
- and marvel had at the time New Universe that didnt do well but had the best stories..e-pill
- fucking love vertigo. they've put out some great storiesscarabin
- so it was like the reader was immature reading Image titles like Youngblood..e-pill
- or you had the readers reading books like Solar and Harbinger who were slightly ..e-pill
- older and more mature or just more defined in who the are individually as a person..e-pill
- vertigo books never to me had that long lasting hero aspect or villain aspect of any other..e-pill
- its like being back in high school with drama students.. who never played dodgeball..e-pill
- thats what Vertigo books to me relates to.. that demographic just isnt me..e-pill
- ill read DPI or Nightmask any day over any Vertigo title.. and those books sucked!!!e-pill
- the other thing is even though i am so into comics i can not name a single vertigo title.e-pill
- even though i spend so much time in comic history that stuff i am oblivious to..e-pill
- Thanks, makes sense. I read all that old Valiant stuff too and curiously enough never touched a ...discoduro
- Vertigo book untill I was an adult. Fables being the book that really pulled me back into comics.discoduro
- no actually i only used the Valiant books as a reference b/c i know you are also a fan.e-pill
- usually when asked about why i never read vertigo books is by hardcore dc fanatics..e-pill
- you are a hardcore Valiant Acclaim fanatic and i used that in my argument.. haha!!!e-pill
- ahdiscoduro
- This book is pretty sweet Lemires pacing and story telling skills are tops and while he's no jim lee or frank queitly his art is quirky like most vertigo books and compliments the story I suggest itTNDAP
- LOL e-pill you're so far of the mark with your 'Vertigo trying to steal away readers" comment.ximeraLabs
- But fair enough if its not your bag its not your bag.ximeraLabs

- i read it a lot as a kid, figured i should catch upscarabin
- at the moment i'm poking around for titles worth subscribing to. seems like half of the comics scene right now is buffy the vampire slayer and the other half is boring superhero shitscarabin
- vampire slayer and the other half is boring superhero shitscarabin
- Wasteland is really good.discoduro
- im holding off comics for the next few months.. with marvel's disney merger..e-pill
- dc's new offices and mainstream movies all being comics.. it feels too stale..e-pill
- like comics need a change and nothing is working.. all my fav titles were changed..e-pill
- Yeah I jut cut back my sub big time. I now have more independent books than big 2 books. Very happy about that.discoduro
- yeah, somebody here mentioned dark tower, thought i should check it outscarabin
- I collected Groo religiously up to #100Point5

This may have been asked and I missed it... for the iPhone Marvel app, does anyone know if they automatic that produced feel (moving between panels), or if they do each comic by hand?
- a lot of it is covered in links posted in this thread.. but it was catered to that industry.e-pill
- digital comics is so aggressively accepted and its function is made rather well ..e-pill
- compared the the price of the printed comic of today being a standard of $3.99 per issue.e-pill
- over $1.99 or it might be .99¢ each im not sure is still so much more affordable..e-pill
- the view on the iphone for the app is tiny but on the iPad it shines rather nice..e-pill
- to answer your question, the art is catered to the devices and to the industry.e-pill
- there is youtube videos of the motion comics breakdowns from a-z of all the steps..e-pill
- u should search for that since you are interested and since its new everyone is posting..e-pill
- or go thru the pages of this thread as most or all of it is already posted..e-pill
- i dont have the ipad and never have aa need to get one but i seen the app on it..e-pill
- the view is awesome.. and its speaks to the people of the tech of today..e-pill
- but i still love the hand held paper ones as i can fold it and roll it in my back pocket..e-pill
- aw jeez, that would drive me nuts. my shit's gotta be bagged and boarded unless it's a TPBscarabin
