anybody ever see a comic book whose panels/illustrations are put together from photographs?
successfully?
as in shooting actors dressed as characters, then manipulated in photoshop

- why would anyone want that?e-pill
- *90%scarabin
- um not really my tastes, i like the ultra dynamic "painted/ drawn" art over real photos.e-pill
- because i can't draw but might have a story to tell?scarabin
- it would be treated of course, not just raw photos. that would be boring.scarabin
- i want to see things that humans cant do like stretch their arms across the universe.e-pill
- photos to me are limited to only what the camera can capture.e-pill
- right, and that wouldn't change.scarabin
- even with photoshop that original image is still just that.. liek i said not my tastes..e-pill
- for a comic book i like it hand drawn. ill buy a magazine when i need to.. but comics..e-pill

actually i kind of hate animated comics because i like to read at my own pace.
don't worry, i have the idea and style treatment in mind and know it will work. just curious how others have approached it before

i'm talking about frames generated not by the traditional graphite>ink way but by generating the art using photographic elements that have been composited and treated stylistically to form whole new images. i showed my poster references because that's exactly how i built them.
the examples above were composed of 20 or so different pieces that had never seen each other before, to create an entirely new image.
