- look at that negative space. Lovely stuff.Wolfboy
- Yeah Wolfboy! I only found out about his work a few years back, I couldn't believe I'd never seen it before as it was so incredible.PhanLo
- I heard about him through a podcast and multiple comic artists I liked said they referenced him growing up, so I looked out his work.PhanLo
- His watercolour and ink work is also really beautiful.PhanLo

- Master of the brush!
That Batman comic is incredible.PhanLo - Word - yeah, he's pretty prolific. Loved 100% and Heavy Liquid as well - some really great ideas ; )antimotion
- When I found THB and Heavy Liquid as a kid, they blew my mind. Always really stuck with me his style.
My mate did a run of tshirts with him a few years back.PhanLo

- “It’s an angry work. We’re so angry all the time now. We have to do something with that anger. It’s called Rorschach not because of the character Rorschach ...Bluejam
- ... but because what you see in these characters tells you more about yourself than about them.”Bluejam
- Wasn't he vaporised in the comic?PhanLo
- yeah, looks like they are positioning him as a 'thing' like they did in Doomsday Clock, rather than a single person.face_melter
- love it when another author takes over the project /sjaylarson

Picked these up on eBay from a seller in Japan a few weeks ago.
A manga re-telling of The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, updated for the 21st century (Lynn Minmay and Hikaru Ichijo texting and doing selfies, for example, and Max Jenius starting his career out as a Destroid operator first and then becoming a Valkyrie pilot), and illustrated by the original series' character designer, Mikimoto Haruhiko.
The series started in 2009, but isn't finished yet and has been on hiatus for a while, so I doubt it will be finished, frankly. Also, I can't read Japanese (I've seen SDF Macross and its sequels so many times, though, that I kind of don't need to read Japanese, the plot doesn't seem to have changed at all). But, wow, the artwork is sublime. Then again, I expect nothing less from Mikimoto-sensei, he's an absolute legend.

I watched this documentary last night and it's great.
If you've got any interest in 2000AD or maybe even comics in general I think you'll enjoy this. It's not just a puff piece, it's a good warts and all telling of the story. The only slight negative is there is no Alan Moore, I guess he didn't want any part of it. But everyone else is here and gives their side of the tale:
- 2000AD is the shit. Grew up with it in the 80's. Met Alan Grant a couple times - really funny guy, even more after a couple of drinks.face_melter

On another note, I'm really surprised no-one's tried to do a Peak TV adaptation of The Eternal Champoin series.Continuity - One is viewable here https://www.zipcomic…PhanLo

- I love his style, super flowing scifi fantasy detailsPhanLo

I know they haven't had a huge amount of time to pull this together, but the digital versions of the halls where the creators would have their tables to sell their goods is a bit clunky. I can't imagine people shifting a lot of comics as it just takes too long to browse.
I love wandering around the tables, chatting with the creators at Though Bubble and other cons, but there's not real alternate experience here.

Still, the content on YouTube on the post above is pretty cool.
- I'd really love to get down to that too, it's a really good mix of creators.PhanLo
- You go to Thought Bubble?! We may well have met! :) I've been for the previous 4 years (i'm a very small cog in a thing that has a few tables there)Nairn
- We didn't this year as the main guy I go with had a kid in October - and then, obviously, fucking 2020 shat its load on our plans.Nairn
- Yeah, I missed a year or two when they moved to the Leeds city centre, but went back last year for the first one in Harrogate. I had tickets for this years.Wolfboy
- Fingers crossed for an in the flesh event in. 2021. I really like the Lakes festival too, but the weather is always terrible.Wolfboy

- My favorite Darrow book.DRIFTMONKEY
- It's so crazily detailed, think it's my favourite too, though I love the Big Guy comic too.PhanLo
- Totally understandable how they couldn’t get those books out on a regular schedule. Insane detail.Wolfboy

- Damn. The best I can do is a copy of Judgement in Gotham singed by Alan Grant and Punisher: Blood on The Moors signed by Grant and Cam Kennedy.face_melter
- I still need to get a Jim Lee, Stan Lee auto. Maybe a Neal Adams, John Byrne and Simon Bisley.pinkfloyd
- For whatever reason, I thought the X-Men were also involved in the Infinity Gaunlet.Continuity
