Did anybody see Peter Manfredo get his arse handed to him, I mean, it was only a couple of mickey mouse rounds of boxing, and he looked like such a chump.

I saw what was called a 'fight'. Okay, so we all know how good Calzaghe is. He's good, no doubt. But that fight was stopped soooo prematurely. I even think he thought so, that's why he raised his own arms in disbelief right after the ref jumped in. Yeah, Manfredo wasn't fighting back at all but he was getting bombarded with pitty-patter. Those were just slaps, if slaps even, and they weren't even landing, they didn't have any kind of affect. You can see it in the slow-motion replay. It shouldn't have been stopped. I was voting for Calzaghe to win, which he did. But I thought this fight just didn't showcase what he can really do. It didn't get him any further in my book. Manfredo was the perfect opponent for him to showcase that. Someone who isn't that bad, can take a punk, and will fight back. Manfredo was not going to be affected after all of that pitty patter. He wouldn't of even had a little bruise from any of that. I do think Manfredo would have eventually gotten knocked out or a loss by decision. Wish I could have seen more of a fight. That's all. I don't think this will get us a fight between Jermaine Taylor or Bernard Hopkins though. This was the point of this fight.
