I could talk about them for hours too, flav.
Saw them at Coachella a few years back and a couple times in NYC. It was like coming home after being away for a long time.
Its funny how music, sometimes from one group or artist, can make you feel so good and remind you of all the cool things that happened to you when you were younger.
They will always be my favorite.

Saw the Pixies again in the 90's - Trompe Le Monde tour in Toronto. Ahhh, the good ol' days.

It was on BBC late at night couple of weeks back...

you can buy it on DVD though I don't think you would watch it more than once to be honest, just didn't do themselves justice. Also they didn't really put much of twist on any of there songs they just played them straight out unplugged where i think they coulda been a little more creative with medium perhaps... anyway enjoy barbtastic

The Pixies were the first band that made realise there was an alternative music scene and I didn't have to buy Bryan Adams or Queen records.
I saw them twice, once at Brixton Academy during the Bossanova tour (worst album but still a great listen). And I managed to see them play Crystal Palace on the guest list for Ride (another great band). What a band.
*Fondly reminisces for a minute, then puts Tom Waits back on.

(Apr 20 07, 09:31)I was like 2 or 3. Anyway, there are more concerts in Ottawa now, it's great. I never thought they would've been in Ottawa in '89.

i really cannot understand why they are so great, but they are. lots of other bands are loud, weird, melodic, etc...but no band (other than the beatles?) makes the sum total of what they are doing so fucking much better than the parts...way better.
i watched that documentary about them and it was kind of painful to see. not exactly a charismatic bunch....
all i know is year after year, i put them on, and the songs just jump out and grab me again, just like last time.

Q: What do Frank Black and Kim Deal have in common?
A: They both have great tits.

I thought it was the best show I had been to also. I thought they sounded almost exactly like the albums. It seems like his voice has been getting more and more into its original form. Even the screaming parts which in some of the 04 shows I thought sounded a little off and strained.

she's so cute and nice :)
one good reason to love the ohio...
