Nimrod's Son is one of the best tracks you can ever hear live, played by this amazing band...

Are we talking about the band or The Cutlery Pixies?

My favourite album of theirs is Surfer Rosa for sure however all their albums are completely listenable from start to finish and over and over again.
All their albums are great.
I was able to see them when they came to Pittsburgh for their farewell tour (... heh) and it was fucking awesome.
It was one of my favourite concerts of all time, simply because who was playing and they rocked faces and everyone was incredibly into it, haha.
I randomly see people with Pixies shirts on here and again, and I never have one qualm about talking to complete strangers about how great they are, and no matter if they have thousands of tattoes, look like they are a librarian, or look like they could kill me just by looking at me ... everyone who loves the Pixies loves talking about them and how great they are, haha.

I could talk about them for hours too, flav.
Saw them at Coachella a few years back and a couple times in NYC. It was like coming home after being away for a long time.
Its funny how music, sometimes from one group or artist, can make you feel so good and remind you of all the cool things that happened to you when you were younger.
They will always be my favorite.

The Pixies were the first band that made realise there was an alternative music scene and I didn't have to buy Bryan Adams or Queen records.
I saw them twice, once at Brixton Academy during the Bossanova tour (worst album but still a great listen). And I managed to see them play Crystal Palace on the guest list for Ride (another great band). What a band.
*Fondly reminisces for a minute, then puts Tom Waits back on.
