i do not have the hand eye coordination for a real guitar. just enough to have fun in guitar hero.

nice setup there morilla, although I find PRSs a bit soul-less.
I know a guy who used to endorse them, now he plays Suhr guitars – I'd love to try one, they're supposed to be awesome

I got it the other day. Managed to make my way through on easy. Not much of an accomplishment. I tried a track on medium and just managed 3 stars. I could definitely use some practice.

they should combine guitar hero, karaoke revolution, donkey kongo and dance dance revolution (for background dancers) and there would be a whole show.

Thanks Basker,,
Yeah, everyone has their take on PRS. I can't believe how this one sounds (custom 22 ten top). I hae been looking for something that plays like this for years.
My Les Paul continues to hang on the wall. The war of words between LP and PRS is insane out there. It's definatelly not a Les Paul but it does things a LP cant and plays much smoother.
Also , my Guild S-100 '74 re-issue (red one) kills any LP out there. If you can find one I suggest snatching it up.

also check out the Briggs Saturn and the Baker B3. But those are pushing the $5k mark.

I played this over the weekend as my little cousin (who is taller than me...) just got it.
It is fucking awesome.
I mean really awesome.
I love it.
I also played the Wii on Friday at my one friend’s house for the first time and I have to say I was equally impressed with it.
...
I really think I am getting both, hahah.
I want to find out more about the downloadable tracks for Guitar Hero II, like can I get the original songs from the first one?
Can I get more?
I’m more of a drum person myself and never really had an inkling to learn an actual guitar so this was really fun.
Take it for what it is all the bashers, haha.
My little cousin was getting 5 stars on expert level on some songs and he has, and has had no inkling to ever pick up a real guitar because he just wants to play this for fun.
Just like me.
This thing is just really fucking fun.

I avoided guitar hero for years because i thought it was just for kooks, but when I was at my brother's place him and his roommates convinced me to try it and I couldn't put it down.
it actually got me back into real guitar playing. I forgot how much fun it is. I'm now throwing down all of my disposable income (what little there is at least) on new gear.
so i guess my conclusion is... if you know how to play, then screw the xbox and go for the real thing. I think what made me like the game so much was that it sort of replicated the experience i'd been missing for a couple years.

i didn't see background dancers.

beating the game on medium is easy, now spend your money to buy the rest of the songs and try hard/expert
a whole different game

I think we might be getting on that game.

but who has a ps3?

"get a real guitar."
Spoken like a total wanker who has never played Guitar Hero :) It's awesome, and I play guitar too.
You're cooler than me though, don't worry.
