Looks pretty good so far.
It's a bit busy, but I guess you want each album/song to be in a separate line so people can add them to a basket.
Maybe you could try placing them in one cardboard cut-out (instead of cutting it after each song/album), while having the site title+nav and the "pages" navigation (the bottom) in separate cutouts.

Def too busy. It hurts the eyes and distracts from the text. I see what you are going for but keep functionality and userfreindliness in mind.

it's okay with the header, but then it gets too much imo.

i don't mind the paper graphic for header and menu, and maybe ok repeated for search field, but way too much for every track.
maybe contrast it with just a clean semi-transparent bar.. the texture underneath and sketchy arrows are enough to pull it all together.

I'd like it better if you printed the type on the paper, crumpled and then scanned / photographed it.

ya, the tear effect is ok for a header but SIMPLIFY the other stuff.
Check out www.virb.com The new myspace type site that is designed very very nicely

agreed... thin it waaaaay out below the header...... it'll work if you tinsel up a few spots here and there... perhaps some 'key elements'... but yeah - ease it up just a bit.

I've never been a huge fan of using the web to look like another medium (book, notepad, etc), but I'm a joyless jerkoff
- Jaline0
I don't mind that actually, Rand.
Your first statement, that is. But actually, you being a jerkoff is somewhat enjoyable as well.

unanimous response, that's what I like to see. Thanks guys.

the torn paper kind of resembles sound waves - i'd like to see that explored.
