Just wondering what the best software for creating fonts is, and is having Streamline would help the process.
I guess Fontographer isn't being made anymore?
Thanks.

livetrace, streamline, corel trace, any raster to vector app will help, you may want to smooth your traces though as they ae usually kinda rough
scanning in your sketches and vector tracing them yourself will prove better results while being more time consuming as well

i [try to] use fontlab. its pretty swish and it has vector tracing facillities within. but like any new program.. its easy to get the basics but hard to get good at.
i would recommend the book "learn fontlab fast" its pretty think (unlike the 'xxxxx bible' series)
have fun

They still make fontographer but fontlab is the way to go. It's just way more accurate. You can download a manual at the site.
