Updatable Data Sheets

  I have a client who wants us to design data sheets that he can update himself. I want to be able to lock areas so the client cannot move or delete them but he can add pictures to a picture box and text into a text box.

  The files then need to be saved in a format to send to the printers.

  Is MS word the way to go or is there something that can update PDFs in this way? Acrobat?

  you could go with a browser based solution, php and coldFusion for example both offer PDF engines...

  just a thought.
