I was working in Photoshop this morning while the power went out. When I turned my computer back on and returned to Photoshop, all of my preferences and settings were reset to their defaults. Windows, color settings, etc...
Is this normal? I could have sworn that their were times in the past when I didn't close the program properly, yet nothing happened.

I had this problem last week after a force quit. It even killed a window layout I saved. The hard part was losing all my custom brushes.

My legs are kind of sore this morning, so I guess I'm in trouble. If I don't post in a while, just assume I was eaten.
Cheers, CB. I just noticed my actions were missing too, but thankfully I can load them back up. Shame about your brushes.

Is there a way of backing up all of CS2's preferences on a MAC or PC?
Even to put them on to another computer?Wouldn't half save some time...

happens to me once and a while. i think the prefs just get overwirtten, but you shoud be able to reload your brushes and actions from the dialogs.
