Hi.
I will be in Berlin for a couple of days in april...
Does anyone have some suggestion about what to see/to do there?Thanx

Urrr, The Bauhaus Museum is worth a look, Prenzlauerberg and Mitte are worth exploring for interesting shops, galleries and some quirky bars. Friedrichschain area to the east is good for a night out. Currywurst is a local speciality - a combination of curry sauce, sausage and fries, yuck.

if u like music & clubs, then check out club WMF, i been there and had an amazing night, really big old building. here is thier website, not much on it tho, but got the address at least
http://www.wmfclub.de/ also there is a great after party by the river, kinda forgot the name but sure its called club 21, its a hut/bar that plays really nice minimal music and loads of sofas to chill out on. will try remember what else i did later.

hello,
don't forget to visit Helmut Newton's Foundation.
WHERE? Jebensstraße 2, Berlin-Charlottenburg.
Have a nice time then!

go east! i mistakenley booked a place to stay way out in ostkreitz. i tried switching it to someplace closer in but was pleasantly surprised by how great the neighborhood was. cool mix of commie hangover grit and swank little hangouts side by side.
if it wasn't temporary there are still panels of the berlin wall that have been re-erected along the river south of ostbanhoff.
i thought the center was the least interesting of all. the ring of neighborhoods south, east, and north are the way to go.

I second para, though the exhibition itself is brain-numbingly boring and imo counter productive, the building itself (the underground bit) is amazing and says 10 x as much about the holocaust for me
(I know that sounds weird and by 'counter-productive' I don't mean that it turns you into an anti-semite, just to get that straight)

you're a dead man, kelpie. my golem will have the scent of your blood by sundown.

Saturday and sunday have brinch at cafe november
http://www.cafe-november.de/best brunch i've ever had! and it serves brunch until 4pm. It's in prenzleberg, so it's a easy walk to anywhere you wanna see.

FYI - you're not allowed to take photos inside the Bauhaus Museum. Strict policy.
That said, if you're going to Berlin for the electronic music and nightlife, you are required to go to the Berghain
and Watergate as well. music brand is mostly minimal house
of course, have a brunch in prenzlauberg if you're there on a sunday.
german food doesn't exist in berlin, except for those wursts.

I had a good time there actually. But I was with a group of about 15 people and looked at a flyer on the table top and saw that the Dresden Dolls where playing downstairs that night. A unexpected surprise, was a good time.

i had a good time too, the guys who started static were actually american, and just being snobs.
The women in that place were really gorgeous.

yeah, I hear ya. Yanks trying to be cool.
There was this other place we went to, down by the river. Just a door in the wall. I can't remember the name but it was only known by the locals. A really cool place.
