sorry to add more valentine's day stuff on here.
I'm taking my gf out to dinner tomorrow night, no where particularly special. I'm meeting her after work in central london, I want to take her somewhere to get 'tea' ie some tea or coffee and something sweet since there'll be a longish gap between work and dinner.
Any good ideas? Not the Ritz or anywhere too flash but not like starbucks or somewhere shite. Something in between!
thanks

The V&A have a wicked couple of old ornate rooms that serve tea and posh cakes. Stumbled upon it over Xmas and was pleasantly surprised.
Or theres a really cool Japanese tea house / dessert place on the corner of the Soho markets, been meaning to take my girl there for ages.

thanks guys, always a great resource of useful knowledge here.
Problem is that because I finish work at 6 so most places are finishing up around that time. I'll think of something. Was thining of a mini picnic but it's supposed to be raining tomorrow.

don't worry jevad, just dip a twinkie in some coloured icing, pretty close to fondant fancies. But still no way of making your own battenbergs!
