I HATE TAXES!
I have one client that is really dingy. she didn't send me a 1099 as of yet. Legally, i believe they are due by the 31st of January... should i wait around because knowing her it will be 2 weeks from now, or just prepare my taxes and let her deal with it?

End of January is the deadline. Give these people a call and see what is happening with it.

yeah, let them know you would hate to have to report them...

you can just d/l it off the irs site, fill out the few fields and send it to them. that's what i do w/all my 1099s..they call to ask if they can fax a blank one and i tell them i can find that myself.

If you've collected funds for work you done, you should report it regardless of if you've received a 1099. Better to be safe than sorry.

exactly mdidit. report what you've made and if they drop the ball on their end, it's their problem.
it's not like a w2 which you really have to get from your employer.
