does anyone use this site to purchase mp3s?
they are only $0.15 each... cheap. but is that too good to be true? i would like the price but i am nervous to send my credit card info...
- acescence0
i thought the credit card companies cut those guys off
- cram0
the site says that it takes credit or debit cards.
but is it safe?
- acescence0
oh, it's safe, but despite what the site says, i really don't think you can use credit cards anymore...
- acescence0
ah, there may be a way, check payment methods on this page
- cram0
sweet article on wiki. you are right, it does say that they can't take cards but there appears to be a way around.
anyone tried any of the others?
www.alltunes.com
www.iomoio.com
www.gomusic.comothers?
thanks...

the only digital download place i've used besides the itunes store is http://www.beatport.com and have no problems with them.

I used my visa through the alltunes payment method on the site a few times. It feels kinda sketchy, but I have done it a few times now without any problems. go for it

- version30
and http://mp3sugar.com actually
i use the xrost system to pay allofmp3, i use my visa because they back any purchase they approve and will refund your money if said product is not delivered, they've helped me on paypal, ebay, and amazon problems before
- mg330
Using it right now. No problems with credit cards at all.
- nocomply0
yeah i use it frequently. you have to pay through a 3rd party that transfers your balance to their site, but it works and its been safe thus far.

allofmp3.com is just an illegal russian download site that doesn't pay the artists or the labels. it would probably be more respectful to the artists you're downloading to just get them for free via torrents or Acquisition - instead of funding the russian mafia.
Why you would proivide your credit card # to these people is beyond me.* and yes, they have all my music up there for sale, and no.. they did not ask me, nor will they pay me sales %'s or royalites. and the quality... well, let's juts say that there are mp3 of mine for sale up there of releases that were vinyl-only... so how they must have got the mp3 by copying it from a peice of vinyl.... must sound like it's worth 15 cents.

yeah sounds like it's the russian mafia, you're funding heroin and prostitution by buying cheap mp3s

(Jan 28 07, 12:01)That's funny coming on a forum that has a 150+ thread about strategies for strip bars. Who do you think all the money goes to in strip bars?

ok, maybe not the russian mob... but as a figure of speech it works...
the time I went there to perform it seemed like the whole city if Moscow was either: old russian women OR guys who look like they want to be part of the mob. oh, and stippers. that's a definite sub-generalization when speaking of russian personalities.regardless *** i know that these sites are everywhere now, and there's really nothing an artist can do to protect his or her ownership of music... but I just can't understand why you would support these people who are ripping off artists - when you could just bypass the middle man, and download the stuff off P2P or torrents? Just seems like a waste of 15 cents, and putting your credit card into "questionable" people's hands?

if itunes or something that actually shared a cut with the artists cost 25 instead of a buck then they might gain a customer in me...i'd make the moral decision, but this is just stupid to pay for music for no reason and make money for someone totally unrelated to the music
