i'm doing work for a show that has parts set in ww2 and i need to reproduce a nazi graphic style. i know the obvious ones but does anyone know of any comprehensive online resources?
there was an article a few months ago in Eye (i think) about designers who did work for the nazis, does anyone remember it? I can't seem to find it on their site. maybe it wasn't Eye.
any ideas? i don't particularly want to trawl through fascist sites.
please don't post any national front links etc.

All I know is that Leni Riefenstahl made the propaganda films, as ripped by G Lucas for the Star Wars awards ceremony, whether that string helps you on your way I don't know.
There are tons of sites with propaganda posters on them

vespa if you want to join combat18 then just come out and say it, instead of the whole 'err, a friend of mine is doing some research on....'
seriously though, is this the article from eye you meant:
http://www.eyemagazine.com/featu…it was in the winter 2006 issue with a cartoon monster on the front. If I can dig it out in our studio I might have time to scan it for you...

thanks rasko.
yea i've found poster sites which is a good start but there was all this other stuff.
don't want to go into it too much but at the moment i'm looking at footage of a sort of medical guidebook containing diagrams of the "perfect proportions". nazi ultimate design guidelines *shiver*
anyone know of any other designers who did work for them?

Phew, thus ends the busiest week of my life so far. Been staying late every day for the last 2 weeks (until about 11pm) preparing and designing a pitch for Burberry.
The creative director of Burberry, christopher bailey has just been here for 2 hours for this massive presentation, 25 metres of A0 boards. 2 weeks of my life, gone in 2 hours. But it went well.
Anway, now that's over I've scanned in the eye article. It's a 7.8mb pfd, so I'll send it to your email vespa, hope it works.

Nice links in here.
Perhaps zip or stuff the pdf, if you haven't already.Mind if I ask what you're pitching for Burberry? I was never interested in them as a brand until I found it that they used to dress the UK military. (not sure if that's completely correct)
I don't own anything from them, but am always interested in their fashion.Think you can shoot that scan my way also?
