I digg the idea!

and plenty of others are already there

I support fully. the only exception: nerd stuff.. they kinda' rule this 2.0 phenomenon and would be great just to have a platform to "digg" only visual stuff
- Rhett0
yes, that's the idea kodap. Get rid of all the nerdy tech stuff and dedicate it only to creative work, updates and news

nerdy tech stuff IS creative, where do you think new web apps, software to make "purdy pictures", etc come from.
you're gonna need a nerd with some 2.0 knowledge to help make your graphical digg resource. some photoshopped image won't spontaneously morph into a sensible web app
kind of biting the hand that feeds you that way aren't you?
- mpfree0
I didn't want to say anything, but yeah it's a lot of work. start learning a very strong CMS

"me thinks ye doth protest too much".
When I said creative I was erring towards the visual, graphic, image making side of things (pertaining somewhat to the forum we are in).
Was in no way a diss on technology.

I'm not dissin' on you, just a lot of 'em already exist in one way or another, but hey go for it, you might be able to market it better than others.

um.... not to be a party-pooper, but modX could not dream of scaling to this sort of load, user demand, or data flow.
while very good for what it was intended for, pretty sure it is not for this situation (that being the scope of Digg originally put forth).

So, would you visit and participate in such a site? The workload doesn't scare me. I'm interested in others input whether they think it's a worthwhile venture.
Possibly not the right, or not enough of an audience needed to participate to make it a success?
