I watched a video presentation thing from some MS lakey being walked through teh 'revolutionary' Expression suite by one of their head nerds.
They were ranting and raving about vector graphics and bezier handles as if no-one had ever done this before, nothing they presented was remotely new, in fact it looked pretty far behind Adobe to me.
I had to turn it off.

I downloaded the beta on their new web wysiwyg editor there a few months ago just to see what they were working on...I mean it was a huge improvement over what Front Page was but still too bloated..and the funny thing was, you could design a layout in it and it would STILL look like shit in IE...
Fuck those guys...
Oh course this will be sold to Corporate as THE web solution by MS..

Yes, the irony that MS sells the web dev app on its ability to produce standards compliant code, yet IE 7 fails to display that code in a standards compliant manner.

With the Mac vs PC debate most fertile in the creative industry, it's hard to imagine users transitioning at the critical point where the platform is ultimately of some importance.
That said, it only took Quark a couple of years to lose their lead to Adobe.

Ok, but you would say that the Indesign vs Quark was just battled on the marketing field, or Indesign had major points in comparison to Quark?

Iw as on the original beta programme for this when it was called something else... it draws nice vector clouds :)

I was a fan of Expression (vector drawing app) when it was originally produced by Creature House. Since the buyout, things have not been looking good.
