http://www.philipregan.com/work/… is the latest version - the drop downs don't work - thi sis just a dummy. But the page changing colour thing was winding me up too so It's now black for text and white for work.

No idea.
I'm clicking on the link from the first post.

You looking at v4 or v5 Kona?
- k0na_an0k0
Looks good Jersey.
I like the colors and the simplicity of the site. The dropdowns are a bit.... eh... but it works with the style of what you were going for.
I'm on the fence about the background changing colors like that so much. Gray, blue, white, white then back to gray (in order from the dropdowns). Still not sure about it.
I like how you kept the dropdown though in the same place after ever click. Nicely done. You have no idea how many people move it around a bit from page to page.
I don't mind the size at all but then again, I've got a 20" widescreen and a MBP with a widescreen too. Fits well on both.

resizing users' browser windows is a very bad move.

Hahaha. You are just a prize cunt version4. What I don't get is how you got to be such a cocky wanker. I mean, your own work is average at best. Not that mine is any better. Just saying.

JerseyRaindog:
I think that you should capitalize the "T" in "The" within the browser ttile bar.

Still too big.
I usually use 960 or 980 as limits (I prefer to work with grids with odd numbers colums and these values are good when you use 10px or 15px gaps)
- version30
you'll find some basics and use them most often, i still would go no wider than 990 ever, 960 is good too because that number is very helpful in grid setups using 10, 15 or 20 pixel increments, 990 just lets you push a tad farther, some clients will always say bigger :(
