Anyone have a link to a decent, and free, file converter for this?

Take it no such exists then?

realplayer format is what again?
can be done apparently, it just sucks to do
- digilee0
that's like converting silk into sandpaper.

Sound Forge 8.0 doesn't allow you to import RealPlayer formatted files and convert them. It's proprietary bullshit.

Yeah, tried with soundforge before.
Normaly end up running the .rm in my realplayer and recording it back into sound forge. Just a bit of a pain to do - and you have to remember to stay out of this site or else you get annoying 'whump' 'whump' noises in the file from the buttons.
Just wondered if there was something I was missing.
I'll place it in the 'holy grail' folder along with the 'user updatable easy configured/edited free online shop' then I guess.

Did use some an Allok MP3 Converter thing before but seem to remember it was a bit hit and miss. And its not free either.

eh?

An understandable response.
Just saying what I normaly do is run the sound out my computer via the headphone output and then back in via the mic input, and record into soundforge.

yeah. you can re-rig your system to do that at anytime. it just picks up the frequency input.

if anything, at least outputting and sampling the RM stream that way could be considered 'lofielectronic'. that's something, isn't it?
