anyone else's computers going crazy? yesterday my computers at home were acting weird. my wallpaper in one of my computers kept changing every second. i have a little program that was supposed to do this so i uninstalled it and restarted but it kept doing it. i even went in the registry and made sure the registry entry was taken out. no luck.
my other computer, a mac, would open all of the websites in my history and open them in new tabs but would start to close them once all of them were opened.
then my laptop would try to run windows update but when it installed it, it would just run it again. the windows firewall on it also mysteriously got disabled.
i thought it was someone hacking into my network so i disabled the internet on all of the computers but they still did weird stuff. my friend then calls me and tells me his computer was doing weird stuff too, like his wallpaper getting flipped and default colors being changed.

Sounds like a trojan or a virus to me. As far as for your PC, I'd say your best bet is to update your anti-virus software, scan your disks and maybe do a Windows reinstall.

or, move out. leave all your computers behind. Move to a new city and start fresh.

i thought nothing can hurt the mac, it does the weirdest things of them all.

why is there a k at the end? is it Y2007000?
- mpfree0
yes, as Y2K was BS too
but I guess I could have said Y2.7K right?

that would be Y2700
