Hi.
i'm trying to put a logo on top of a gradient header on a web page.
all with CSS.The problem im having is that it looks a bi 'jagged'.
Im exporting the logo with no antialiasing or dither, but still....I know is possible, but I must be doing something wrong when exporting the image in photoshop.
Any ideas.
ps. : an example that works,
http://www.mozilla.org/
and the logo

export it with a matte similar/ the same as the background colour.

thanks.
that sound like a good option, the matte one.
the list appart article, is using PNG.
I need to get it right with a gif. for IE6.

i use pngs everywhere using this method
smoothed edges and partially transparent pixels is much more alluring than your poorly exported gif
and if you continue reading the article, you'll see they have implemented a use of javascript to guarantee cross browser compatibility
but if you like 256 jagged colors, ignore it, i don't care

that last one should be easy enough for you to move on, if not well, send me your clients, I'm fairly sure they want their money's worth.
uh yeah, read and take suggestion from people and you will find that you will never learn everything on your own
