"get an incredible hot exotic girlfriend that hates that shit.... she'll tolerate it for about a month.... then shes gonna start calling things like you are not man enough and you will chosse to go for the amazingly hot pussy instead of the pot"
Then you kick her ass out for questioning your manhood.

i can't help the feeling that something has changed globally.
We grew up with the knowledge that smoking, drinking, getting out, was the coolest thing you could do with your short-living thing we're used to call "Life". It was rather intellectual even.
Now that trend is in it's reverse mode.
That's good, i guess. for the body. I don't know if it's good for the soul.

(Dec 12 06, 11:28)good point.
i've had it with the bohemian attitude/way of life.
i hardly drink anymore. smoke less. don't touch any sort of drugs anymore and yet my life has become very statisfying. it feels so good that i finally dare to choose for myself, like snuggles said: decide for yourself. except for the fact that i move into an opposite direction.
the things i learned from my therapist felt dogmatic and alienating at first but now became a natural part of my life.
to go outside, walk, breathe fresh air (mind you, i live FAR from any big city, fortunately!), think, dream, reflect and take photographs is one of my key ingredients of feeling well and fulfilled.
ok it is less cool, but i am seriously past that bit of trying to adapt my life to other people's preferences or expectations. because it adds.......totally nothing.
it's all about respecting each other. we all experience different stages of life in different times, changing should be a natural thing, not forced.
it's all about feeling well and appreciating the short but honest contacts/meetings with other people.
for me this is a cultivated happiness. sort of like a small garden that needs a bit of cultivation and also a bit of natural chaos, fate, the unexpected etc.
most important thing for everyone to know is that the state of your body influences the state of your mind and vice versa.

pascii
(Dec 12 06, 07:02)I'm not sure pascii wants to quit smoking pot ... Just wants a break from whatever to rock a joint.

Crouwel. We have much in common.
My regards for your struggle for your own space, but mostly for your intelligence.
i'm really serious this once in this wretched place, and i know you acknowledge that as a compliment.

" hardly drink anymore. smoke less. don't touch any sort of drugs anymore and yet my life has become very statisfying. "
your just getting old dude, that's one of the perks...
i'm not one for any kind of daily use, but once and a while the shits like creative revelation...
just beautiful.

Its all about balance.
You shouldn't go from smoking too much to not smoking anything at all. Just keep everything in check and it'll work itself out.
Exercise is a good substitute.

Good point Crouwel, good point.
Pascal... leave the drugs and send me the "book"! ;))
And, calm, someday, you also will find your place on this world.
I´m sure.
- Crouwel0
thanks, but it seems you people think i am sort of dictating a lifestyle here. If you all read carefully i am a 100% committed to my belief that people should choose for themselves, everyone has their own reasons in their own times of life.
people will learn, an right now it is extremely (vitally even) important for me to take this particular direction.
