What do you love about it, what do you hate about... what do you prefer, what is it better than?
What features would you like on it?Thanks.

I want extra extra extra magnifying capabilities.

I want it to be live, goddamnit.
Oh. Maps? Not Earth?
I never use Maps - I still mingle between streetmap.com and yell.com. I guess, in that case, that I don't like trusting EVERY aspect of my online engagement with the Googleplex - email, search and IRL navigation - omniscience scares me.

I wish the zooming in and out was a bit more liquid. using the mouse wheels can zoom a bit too fast.

i love google map on my mobile phone. when i am out and about and wanna find out the place, it works well.
i want to see hot women on my mobile google map and when i am near by them, i get an alert message or something. that would be dope!

more zooming, live footage and x-ray vision.

NASA World Wind seems more modular and upgradable than GE, which I like.
Seriously though, I wish it was live (yes, I appreciate how unlikely that is, but once you've had a 'Global Clouds' plugin, overlaying relatively contemporary cloud cover data, or a plugin displaying satellite trajectories, Lightning-strike data, Earthquake data etc etc, it all seems more plausible).
OK, ability to incorporate more live data - maybe not constantly-updated satellite image feeds.

My previous post should in no way be taken as an indication of how much of a nerd I am.

1) spot news;
2) spot catalogues of bookshops, records, etc;
3) naked women.

(Nov 25 06, 08:52)I agree.

Haha, no worries Nairn. I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to astronomy-related stuff. Not really the lightning-strike data and earthquake things you mentioned, but it's similar.

It only covers the USA, Canada and parts of Europe (not as intricately, location wise).
Anti-US states like Cuba and Venezuela don't deserve it. The Senate should pass software laws so those places don't get a share. An embargo of sorts.

all good stuff. focussing mainly on the interface stuff

it'll be cool to be able to make your own map kinda feature. like, if you wanna show all the cities you have been, you can mark them and publish or something. maybe it's already out there.
