OK, so The Mighty Mouse turns out to be not so mighty, Apple have had to replace mine 3 times, as the trackball after a few months just gives up.
So . . . I'm looking for a replacement that does horiz. and vert. scrolling and is good in general for design work.
Any Ideas?

Christ, I'd never fully contemplated the implications of a mouse that could only scrollin one dimension. Kind of limiting, huh?
Um, anyway, as much as I used to hate 'em - I'd now always recommend Logitech mice, even if they're the one company I resent for shoddy software (probably not a problem on macs?).
Solid, well-built mice that are pretty ergonomic with plenty of extras and options.

Best mouse I've had is the cheapest logitech http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-9…
I also have a bluetooth Logitech http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-C… but the sucker breaks up connection with the macbook for 2-4 seconds every 15 minutes. Still not sure whether it's the mouse or the laptop.

i like my logitech g5, got it for like $50. you can control the weight of it and it's pretty nice.

- Kinda pricey but I've enjoyed it. I had to buy two because my 22 month old likes it as well and made the first one a play hammer.

The best part about using a logitech is programming the small buttons to run Expose. It makes expose very fast.
