Is there someway to not get some feathering all over your layer borders when resizing without having to flatten all layers?
Every time I do an image crop without collapsing, PS adds a small 1 pixel border all around the image. :[

when you say 'adds a small 1 px border' you don't actually mean it's being stroked, do you?
I assume what you're talking about is the result of scaling down from a certain image size, irregularily to a possibly not even whole number? ie. a pixel wide slightly transparent border?
if so, you have two options:
1. scale to just-above the desired output, then strip the erroneous 1pixel 'border'.
2. scale down absolutely, using number inputs (ie. 25%, 50% whatever)If I'm understanding you correctly, there is no 'way to get rid of the border' - the software is just doing as it is told - YOU have to consider the scale sizes, ratios and pixel output.
if I've completely misunderstood, please post a screenshot :)

Love your illustration work, btw Redmond - your lo-bit 'pixel' caricatures are particularly lovely. Were they originally created on some sort of palm device?

Thanks! They're oekakis
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oek…They're fun to do, but lately I enjoy doing them in Photoshop better since you get slightly more control and layers to play with.
As for my problem, it was a video card problem. Cropping doesn't create blurred borders. Resizing does...

My uncle was supposed to give me his Amiga87 a few years back. I liked Deluxe Paint alot.
