he came to london a few months ago and was showing them in trafalgar sq and the ICA. I went along and had a play with them. I had a chat with him, he's a mental guy as you might imagine.
He really see the creatures as living animals not machines and they're powered only by wind or water, he showed one that knew when it was standing in a low tide on the beach and runs away!

not sure, i saw a picture where he was dragging it himself. but probably only to accelerate it a bit.
all of his robots are a study or wind movement and such.. so i guess the answer is yes..

i soo wish i could find some images/footage of the flying saucer he actually let fly over the city of Delft early 80's.
Citizens and police where shocked so they say.
