I had several crashes when playing videos. Do you have the same problem? I use XP Pro.

For some reason I can't access http://www.ottawasenators.com site (after the splash page) on the new version or the older version of FF.

not yet here (xp pro)

I mean that it crashes...but yes, I have it crash periodically while visiting random sites sometimes too. And I'm pretty sure my laptop can handle lots of things open at once so it's weird.

ff2.0 is somewhat unstable i think. text field gets messed up and sometimes it's slow. maybe i should go back to the previous version till they come out with a patch.

still crashes for me everytime. there must be something on that site...

It crashes when the video (especially WMPand Flash) is inside the page. The Senators has a video in the homepage (WMP)...

it's like alot of pro team sites - they load like your on dial up because they jam those home pages with tons of ish, and I'm sure they are pulling in real-time info from multiple sources, etc.

thanks for the info :)

Firefox is so unstable, i dont understand its popularity... It functions well only when surfing one link at a time, very slowly.
I have numerous problems, not just with streaming media, but multi link executions. especially in tabs. It crashes on me all the time. I use it mainly because it accepts java sites really well, and Safari doesnt... Im on a mac by the way.

On my mac I sometimes can't type things. Drives me nuts.

If you're running Firefox on an intel mac you need to set it to open using rosetta emulator. That seems to have solved a lot of my probs.

i'm on ff 2.0 xp pro now. that ice hockey site works ok. slowish. the video works too. some applet starts and shows up in the status bar.
maybe there are some codecs missing in your computer.

ive had horrible luck with getting focus, both on the address bar as well as search bar... ill have to close the window, and open a new one to be able to type anything..
several people i know have the same

one thing i've noticed... is that link descriptions and other content of Alt tags from previous pages (not the other tabs that may be open, but pages you've actually browsed in that same tab) appear magically from nowhere.

I quote:
"Poorly designed or incompatible Extensions can cause problems with your browser, including make it crash, slow down page display, etc. If you encounter strange problems relating to parts of the browser no longer working, the browser not starting, windows with strange or distorted appearance, degraded performance, etc, you may be suffering from Extension or Theme trouble."
