(Nov 19 06, 09:49)Obviously you don't know how to get things done. I wanted to make the woman swoon over me by making her the center of attention in the office (which by the way is like 80% women).
Not only did she love it, but she really appreciated it if you know what I mean...
and not to mention they were beautiful. I don't even know what white roses mean...but she loved them and they worked.
perhaps you should read www.askmen.com like I do and maybe you can join the ranks of men that date attractive women on the weekend instead of playing playing my nintendo wii.
Here is a lesson for free: If you make any woman the object of envy in her peer group she will regard your efforts highly.

Okay, for the record why I think flowers (roses) at work is tacky:
01. Roses are so cliché. Why don't you find out what her favourite flowers are, or get a flower that starts with like the first letter of her name, or a combination bouquet with her initials (probably won't find that on askmen.com, but feel free to ask me anything), or flowers that are specifically in season during the first day you met, or first date, et cetera. A little underlying meaning on top of a nice gesture goes a long way.
02. At work? Well, I guess the girls I talk to are either still in college, or don't have the type of job where sending something to work is feasible (bars, restaurants, photo shoots, etc.). That being said I have only sent flowers to one person in my entire life, and do send them to her place where she lives with 3-4 other girls, so I do get your last point about, "If you make any woman the object of envy in her peer group she will regard your efforts highly."
But technically, I wouldn't know where else to send them. The shoe store she works at, haha?
That's not awkward.
I guess at the place I work ... the people I see get flowers ... I just shudder to think another human finds them attractive. Then the fake bullshit the other women in the office do to fuss over it, and then talk behind their back about it.
Not saying that is the case in either of your cases, but I guess I really only have seen it from that angle.
Or from friends who send flowers specifically to work ... AFTER ... they did something detrimental to the relationship they don't want her to find out about, haha.
Shrug.

I hate the word date! It's so limiting, basically it means, dinner + movie. Better to just do something fun and different then every other guy. That is how you keep the girl. Sending flowers gets old. But being fun and real will always keep their attention*

most hot girls are so self-conscience it's almost unbelievable. What? You have a freckle where? inside your nose? really, your getting it removed? why?
Save the DRAMA for yer MOMMA!

ok you redeemed urself flavorful...the flowers/initials thing is definitely some memorable shit to drop on her.
I think learning what flowers she likes and then getting them for her is cliche...not mention it gives u away if u are surprising her. Maybe that works for a surprise in the distant future...but I don't plan that far ahead.
I agree about the hot chick/insecurity thing...The chick is flawless physically but she is still like "I don't like this about myself, or I don't like that"...weird.
I'm like wateva babe u r dope...
then she smiles...
